Renewal
Your real estate license must be renewed every two years if you are a real estate sales agent or broker. Certain continuing education courses are required as part of the renewal process and others are electives at the agent’s discretion.

What does that mean for me?
Those renewing for the first time, whether the license is active or inactive, are required to complete a minimum of 98 hours of courses. Of these, 90 hours much be approved Sales Apprentice Education (SAE) and the additional 8 hours must be Legal Update I and Legal Update II.
If the sales agent has been made a supervisor by the broker for six months or more, they also need to complete the 6-hour Broker Responsibility Course to renew.
Brokers who sponsor one or more sales agents, serve as a designated broker for a business entity broker, or have been made a supervisor of other license holders must also take the 6-hour Broker Responsibility Course as part of the 18 hours of CE.
