The San Antonio Board of REALTORS® (SABOR) is proud to support the San Antonio Independent School District (SAISD) in a forward-thinking project to repurpose some of its school properties. Through a grant to the Counselors of Real Estate (CRE), SABOR has enabled expert consultants to work with SAISD in identifying innovative, community-oriented uses for these spaces. 

The CRE team’s recommendations include using these facilities as childcare centers, community service hubs, and affordable housing, all tailored to neighborhood needs. The guidance offered by CRE helps SAISD explore partnerships and manage logistical challenges, like zoning changes and renovation requirements, to ensure each new use meets community priorities while covering its own costs. 

For SABOR, this initiative represents a commitment to sustainable community growth and economic development. By supporting this project, SABOR aims to help SAISD not only manage property thoughtfully but also enrich San Antonio neighborhoods.
