Important Announcement
For years, many of you have asked about closer regional alignment between SABOR and the Four Rivers Association of REALTORS®.
The Boards of Directors for both SABOR and Four Rivers have formally approved and signed a strategic merger agreement to unify our associations, pending member approval and National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) ratification.
This milestone follows thoughtful discussion, evaluation and strategic planning by leadership from both organizations. We believe this proposed merger represents a strong opportunity to enhance member value, expand our regional footprint and strengthen the REALTOR® voice across Central and South Texas.
Why This Matters
A unified SABOR and Four Rivers would extend Association coverage across a broader geographic area, strengthening advocacy efforts and expanding the resources available to our members.
Together, we could:
- Amplify advocacy efforts locally and statewide
- Expand education and professional development offerings
- Increase networking and regional collaboration
- Strengthen operational efficiencies and member services
- Provide broader support across a larger regional footprint
What Happens Next
As we conclude review of governance structure, financial alignment and operational planning, next steps will be General Membership Meetings to be scheduled in the coming weeks, where both SABOR and Four Rivers members will have the opportunity to vote on the proposed merger. Should members approve, the final step will be ratification by the National Association of REALTORS®.
