Qualifying (Pre-Licensing) Course Policies & Student Information

By registering and/or attending classes at REALTOR® Academy, you agree to the following policies and information.

  • Login/check-in for class begins 20 minutes before the start time and ends once the class has begun.
  • Students must be logged in and their identification verified BEFORE the stated class start time. For example, checking in at 9 a.m. for a class that begins at 9 a.m. may result in a refusal of services.
  • Students' faces must be visible on camera AT ALL TIMES during the course to receive credit.
  • If for some reason you lose connection, log back into the class as soon as possible. If the instructor is disconnected, please remain in the class and allow them to log back in.
  • The virtual class environment should be treated the same as an in-person class. Students may not take phone calls, conduct business, drive or be a passenger in a vehicle, attend other meetings or similar activities.
  • Students must be active in the class and provide their full attention to the course. INSTRUCTORS will provide time for breaks and lunch (if applicable). During the provided times, students may take care of calls, emails, etc. Note: Do NOT log out at any time during class.
  • Students may not "step away" from the camera for any reason during the course without communicating with the instructor. If an emergency arises, please use the "CHAT" feature to privately notify the instructor or staff of your situation.
  • Students are responsible for the performance of their own technology including audio volume, video clarity, and reliable internet connection. We will use the ZOOM platform. For more information about ZOOM please check the website at www.zoom.us. Video, audio, and internet access are all needed to successfully "ATTEND" class.
  • Your camera must remain stable and UNREMOVED during the course broadcast. Excessive camera movement is distracting and may result in a student's removal from the class at the instructor's discretion.
  • Students will be responsible for completing an evaluation and returning the document within 24 hours to the REALTOR® Academy.
  • Failure to adhere to these policies and/or the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC) rules pertaining to education may result in removal from the course, CE credit not reported to TREC, and non-refundable tuition.
