Qualifying Education (Pre-Licensing)

Requirements to Apply for a Texas Real Estate License

  • Citizen of the United States or lawfully admitted alien
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Meet TREC's qualifications for honesty, trustworthiness and integrity. Consider requesting a Fitness Determination before applying for the license.
  • Complete a total of 180 classroom hours of mandatory qualifying real estate courses and pass the License exams.

    Students must complete all reading modules and all chapter quizzes in order to take the final exam and complete the course. eBook textbooks and two attempts of the exam are included with the cost of each course.

    Note: All pre-licensing courses are delivered through our self-paced provider. Students will create separate accounts on that platform for class registration.
