SAN ANTONIO, TX (January 8, 2026) — The San Antonio Board of REALTORS® (SABOR) formally installed its 2026 Board of Directors during a ceremonial Installation held on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, marking the beginning of a new year of leadership dedicated to advancing professionalism, advocacy, and service within the real estate industry.
Leading the 2026 Board is Ed Zapata, who was formally installed as the 2026 Chair of the Board, alongside the association’s Executive Committee and Board of Directors. Together, this leadership team will guide SABOR’s strategic direction and support its mission to empower REALTORS® and protect private-property rights throughout the San Antonio region.
“Serving in a leadership role at SABOR is both an honor and a responsibility,” said Ed Zapata, “I am grateful for the opportunity to serve alongside dedicated professionals who are committed to strengthening our association, supporting our members and continuing SABOR’s legacy of leadership in our community.”

During the ceremony, newly installed leaders took an oath of office, pledging to uphold the REALTOR® Code of Ethics, serve the membership with integrity and guide the association in the best interest of its members and the communities they serve.
The Installation ceremony also honored SABOR’s enduring legacy of leadership. More than a dozen Past Presidents and Chairs, representing leadership dating back to 1985, were in attendance, reflecting decades of service and commitment to the association. These individuals have dedicated their time and leadership to SABOR and continue to actively support its mission. As part of the evening’s tradition, Past Presidents and Chairs participated in the ceremonial passing of the gavel, a long-standing practice that symbolizes the continuity of leadership from one Chair of the Board to the next.
Founded in 1910, the San Antonio Board of REALTORS® is one of the oldest and largest REALTOR® associations in Texas. For more than a century, SABOR has played a vital role in supporting real estate professionals through education, advocacy and community engagement, while promoting ethical standards and protecting the rights of property owners.
