SAN ANTONIO, TX — Every year, REALTORS® across the nation unite in a powerful display of service and generosity during REALTORS® Are Good Neighbors Week. At the San Antonio Board of REALTORS®, this tradition runs deep — demonstrating the heart REALTORS® have for their communities. This year, more than 100 SABOR members rolled up their sleeves and gave their time to five outstanding local organizations, each offering meaningful opportunities to make a difference.
SABOR partnered with a mix of both familiar and new organizations for this year’s efforts, including Ronald McDonald House Charities, Meals on Wheels, the Texas Diaper Bank, the San Antonio Food Bank and Haven for Hope. At each location, SABOR volunteers worked side by side to uplift families and individuals in need across San Antonio.
A Month of Service Across the City
Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC): REALTORS® prepared a home-cooked meal for families staying at the RMHC homes in the Medical Center. Volunteers also helped clean and organize both homes.
Meals on Wheels: SABOR volunteers hit the road to deliver meals to homebound seniors and individuals, providing not just food, but also a warm smile and a moment of connection.
Texas Diaper Bank: Volunteers sorted and packed essential items, including diapers, wipes, and personal care products, to ensure families across the region had access to basic necessities.
San Antonio Food Bank: REALTORS® helped pack food boxes for families in need, contributing to the ongoing fight against food insecurity in the community.
Haven for Hope: Volunteers supported individuals experiencing homelessness by cleaning sleeping mats to help provide dignity and care to those navigating challenging times.
The passion for service was evident at every stop, and SABOR CEO Gilbert Gonzalez offered words of gratitude for everyone who took part.
