Hats Off to Advocacy: TREPAC Derby Party Brings Out Style and Support in Full Gallop

SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS (May 13, 2025) — The spirit of friendly competition and commitment to advocacy was in full swing at this year’s TREPAC Derby Party, held Wednesday, May 10 at Amelia’s Lounge in the vibrant Creamery District of San Antonio. Hosted by SABOR’s Government Affairs and TREPAC team, the event brought together both familiar and fresh faces in celebration of the REALTOR® community’s efforts to support the Texas Real Estate Political Action Committee.

Major Investors turned out in style alongside new supporters, demonstrating the strong camaraderie and shared vision that fuels our advocacy work. Guests mingled in the lounge’s stylish setting, enjoying Derby-themed décor, refreshments, and a lineup of festivities that made for an unforgettable evening. A highlight of the night was the ever-popular costume contest, where creativity and flair took center stage. Congratulations to Tina Kahlig and Gustavo Martinez, who were crowned Best Dressed and awarded exciting prizes for their standout Derby looks.

Beyond the fun, the Derby Party made a significant impact toward SABOR’s TREPAC fundraising efforts. With $243,102.34 raised so far, we’ve reached 41.20% of our $590,000 goal for the fiscal year—an encouraging milestone made possible by the enthusiasm and generosity of our members. And the timing couldn’t be more important. With local elections in full swing, SABOR is conducting candidate interviews to ensure those seeking office understand and support the issues that matter most to REALTORS®. These include policies that impact real estate, infrastructure, economic development, natural resources, and more. That’s exactly where TREPAC steps in—giving REALTORS® a powerful voice at the table when decisions are made.
