Uvalde County Home Sales Remain Consistent in a Year-over-Year Comparison

Uvalde (November 17, 2021) – Uvalde County reported a total of 21 home sales for October, a decrease of only 4 homes in comparison to October 2020, according to data produced by the Real Estate Center at Texas A&M. The average price of a home decreased 8.2 percent to $367,150, compared to $395,453, as the median price showed a 25.5 percent decrease to $206,000, compared to $244,500, both in comparison to 2020. On average homes spent 62 days on the market before selling, and ten homes were pending sales.

 

“We are continuing to see a healthy number of homes sold in Uvalde County,” said Nancy Bennett, Chairman of the Uvalde REALTOR® Council. "October showed 16 new listings, creating opportunities to bring new residents into Uvalde and enhance the growth of our city and county."

Homes available in Uvalde County throughout the month of October spent 62 days on the market. There were 46 active listings for the month.

In the City of Uvalde, home sales have increased 30 percent for a total of 13 homes sold. Home prices averaged a 13.7 percent increase reaching $190,308, while the median price rose by 15.4 percent to $184,000. Similar to the state of Texas, available inventory had a span of 56 days on the market. 

In Texas 31,961 homes were sold in October, a 6.7 percent decrease from 2020. The state average price increased 13.9 percent to $380,399 while the median rose 16.6 percent to $314,900.
